stable sport of H. 'Yellow
Splash' was registered by
Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan in 1983. It grows
into a medium size hosta about 12 inches in height by 30 inches in
width. The leaves are green with a wide yellow medial (center)
variegation. They are slightly wavy and have a smooth texture.
Bright purple flowers bloom from late July into August. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...has proven to be a challenge in most gardens."
