Hosta 'Gold Piece'
 

Dr. Kevin Vaughn of Massachusetts registered this complex hybrid which involved H. ventricosa, H. tibae, H. plantaginea and H. nigrescens in 1983. It forms a giant size plant up to 42 inches tall. The gold colored foliage has thick substance.

According to The Genus HOSTA by W. George Schmid (1991), "Plant has a yellow spot near leaf tip that enlarges until the entire leaf is yellow. Veins dark green."
