Hosta 'Golden Plum'

This cultivar was registered in 1997 by Peter Ruh of Ohio. It is a medium size plant that changes from gold in the spring to green as the summer progresses. Medium purple, bell-shaped flowers bloom in August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Its foliage shape, wide, flat petioles and bell-shaped, purple flowers in August show the relationship between 'Golden Plum' and 'Decorata'."

"Plant is similar to the parent." Schmid cites "Lewis" as the originator which we interpret to mean Alan Lewis of England.
