Hosta 'Golden Spider'

A seedling selection from a H. nakaiana background, this cultivar was registered by Peter Ruh of Ohio on behalf of the originator, Gretchen Harshbarger of Iowa. The small size, 10 inch high mound spreads to about 28 inches in width with leaves that have a heart shaped base, are slightly cupped and of average substance. Its medium lavender flowers bloom in late June.

Similar cultivars include H. 'Birchwood Parky's Gold' and H. 'Gold Edger'.
