Hosta 'Grand Boys'

A sport of H. 'Tall Boy', this cultivar was originated by Franc & Sally Freeman and registered by Rod Kuenster of Iowa in 2006. It grows into a large size hosta about 19 inches in height with a spread of 66 inches. The leaves are narrowly ovate, wavy and have deep veins. Its pale lavender flowers bloom in July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...found this in a shipment of 'Tall Boy' plants...definitely is a 'Fortunei'-type, but I'm not sure that it is out of 'Tall Boy' due to differences in foliage appearance and flowering habits."
