Hosta 'Grant Wood's Trail'
 

Registered by Joy Adams of Iowa in 2010, this fast growing, medium size (17 inches high by 36 inches wide) cultivar is a sport of H. 'Jade Beauty'. The foliage is medium green with a greenish yellow marginal variegation. Its leaves are broadly ovate, slightly corrugated and dull on top. Tubular flowers with translucent edges bloom from mid-July into August on scapes up to 30 inches tall.

According to the registration materials: "...early gold edges changes to a lighter green than the center making a subtle contrast in greens...edge becomes more green later in the season..."


Grant Wood was an American painter best known for his paintings depicting the rural American Midwest of the 20th century.
