this cultivar is
a large size (28 inches high by 40 inches wide)
sport of H. 'Humpback Whale'. It has medium green
foliage with a chartreuse to cream colored marginal
variegation. The leaves are broadly ovate and flat. Near
white flowers bloom from June into July. It sets seeds
but their viability was not known at the time of
registration.
The registration materials state: "...Smaller
version of its parent with variable chartreuse to cream
margins...Margin is barely noticeable in spring,
becoming very dramatic as season progresses." |
