Hosta 'Great White Whale'

Registered by Andy Torvinen of Michigan in 2018, this cultivar is a large size (28 inches high by 40 inches wide) sport of H. 'Humpback Whale'. It has medium green foliage with a chartreuse to cream colored marginal variegation. The leaves are broadly ovate and flat. Near white flowers bloom from June into July. It sets seeds but their viability was not known at the time of registration.

The registration materials state: "...Smaller version of its parent with variable chartreuse to cream margins...Margin is barely noticeable in spring, becoming very dramatic as season progresses."
