Hosta 'Grizzly Bear'
 

Registered by Bevie Schmidt of Michigan in 2009, this upright growing cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a large size hosta which grows to around 23 inches in height with a spread of about 50 inches. The medium green foliage is broadly ovate, slightly cupped and slightly shiny on top. Its flowers bloom from mid-July into August.

According to the registration materials: "...long heart shaped leaves which seemingly reach out...gets deeper green as season progresses..."
