Originated by Alex Summers of Delaware, this non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage but is of a Tardiana-type according to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009). It is a medium size hosta about 14 inches tall by 30 inches wide with leathery, blue-green foliage that has a thick underside bloom.

There is a cultivar on The Hosta Library website that is labeled 'Gun Metal Blue' and is credited to Dr Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan.
