Hosta 'Gypsy's Boa'

A small size (8 inches high by 23 inches wide) hosta with green foliage, this cultivar of unidentified parentage which was originated by Russ O'Harra of Iowa and registered by the Russ O'Harra Hosta Society in 1999. The leaves are narrowly ovate and have thin substance. Purple flowers bloom in July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...acts like a green-leaved version of 'Feather Boa' and 'Yellow Boa'...given to all 150+ attendees of the 1997 Midwest Regional Hosta Society held in Des Moines, Iowa."
