Hosta 'H.D. Seas'

We found this cultivar listed on the Hosta Lists website as a plant with double flowers. The Fransen  Hostas website shows it as a plant originated by John Christensen of New Jersey and is a hybrid of H. 'H.D. Thoreau' × H. 'Sagae'.

MyHostas database says that it came from seed acquired from Dr. Charles Purtymun of Walden West in Oregon and the cross was (H. 'H.D. Thoreau' × H. fluctuans) × open pollinated.

Of course, 'Sagae' was previously known by the incorrect name, H. fluctuans 'Variegated'.
