Jerry Hadrava of Iowa is the originator of a large number of hostas which were included in his "Rosedale" series. Several of his plants had a seedling he named with an "RD" numbering system as either the pollen or seed parent. To our knowledge, he never named or registered this prolific hosta outside of his breeding program. We have a list of hostas that have this one in their background.
