Hosta 'Hammered Gold'
 

Registered by Don Rawson of Michigan in 2016, this medium size (14 inches high by 22 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Pin Stripe Sister'. It has greenish yellow foliage that his flat, intensely corrugated, moderately cupped, nearly round and dull on top. White flowers bloom from mid-July into August on scapes up to 22 inches tall. It sets seeds in yellowish-gold colored pods.

The registration materials state: "Bright gold, corrugated with nearly-round, somewhat contorted leaves that exhibit some biscuiting. Complemented by white flowers in mid-summer...Emerges a bright chartreuse and turns yellowish-gold by end of season.

 

'Hammered Gold' is a medium-size hosta with nicely cupped, heavily corrugated bright golden yellow leaves. The leaves have white backs. In spring, it emerges bright chartreuse and then turns yellow. The yellow color holds very well throughout the remainder of the season. White flowers in June and July and August. Pod and pollen fertile. Parentage: ‘Pin Stripe Sister’ × OP

22" wide by 14" high. Leaves 8.5" long by 7.5" wide. White tubular flowers. Moderate growth rate.
