This cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Regal Rhubarb' which was registered in 2003 by Steve and Sarah Zolock of Pennsylvania. It forms a large size plant about 26 inches high by 38 inches wide with dark green foliage that has dark "beet" red petioles. The leaves are slightly shiny on top, slightly twisted and ovate. Many pale lavender bell-shaped flowers with stripes bloom from mid-July into August. It sets viable seeds in dark red pods.
