A seedling of the species,
Hosta longipes,
this cultivar was introduced by
Alex Summers
and registered by
Peter Ruh in 1997. A medium sized (16 inches high) plant, it
has oblong, slightly wavy leaves with thick substance. Pale
purple flowers with dark purple scapes bloom in September.
Similar cultivars include H. 'Harvest Desire'.
Seedlings include H. 'Connecticut River' and H. 'Green Nature
Lady'.
