Hosta 'Herbert'
 

This H. 'Sieboldiana'-type plant was originated by Herbert A. Zager of Iowa registered by Peter Ruh of Ohio in 1996. It forms large size clump of dark green foliage about 25 inches tall with a spread of 66 inches. The leaves are slightly wavy, slightly corrugated and have thick substance. Its near white flowers bloom from late June into July.

Although he is usually listed as H. A. Zager, the H. stood for his first name, Herbert.
