Hosta 'Hermes'

Registered by Alex Malloy of New York in 2004, this cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Zebra'. It is a medium size hosta with dark green foliage and yellow to creamy white streaked variegation. Some leaves have a creamy white marginal variegation. The foliage is ovate, deeply lobed and slightly rippled. Pale lavender flowers bloom from late July into August on scapes about 19 inches tall.

In Greek mythology, Hermes was the god of travel, thievery, language, athletics and animal husbandry.
