Hosta 'High Wide and Handsome'

Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan produced this seedling of H. 'Dorothy Benedict' and registered it in 2003. It forms a giant size mound about 30 inches high that spreads to a width of around 39 inches. The leaves are heavily rippled, slightly shiny and have thick substance. Near white flowers bloom around mid-June into July.

According to the MyHostas Database, there is also a non-registered cultivar named H. 'High Wide & Handsome' from Rick Sawyer of Maine.
