Hosta 'Hooter'

An upright growing seedling selection of unidentified parentage from Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan, this hosta was registered by Rod Kuenster of Iowa in 2010. The leaves are green with creamy white and pale yellow streaked variegation. It forms a medium size plant (15 inches high by 40 inches wide) with leaves that are lightly folded, slightly wavy, slightly corrugated, broadly ovate and slightly shiny on top. Purple, tubular flowers bloom from mid-July into August and it sets viable seeds with streaked pods.
