Hosta 'Hoplite'

A medium size (13 inches high by 28 inches wide) hosta, this cultivar of unidentified parentage was registered by Alex Malloy of New York in 2000. It has pale green foliage that has a creamy white marginal variegation. The leaves are broadly oblong to ovate, moderately wavy and deeply lobed at the base.

Hoplites were citizen-soldiers of Ancient Greek city states who fought armed with spears and shields.
