Hosta 'Hugs for You'

Registered by Mary Vertz of Wisconsin in 2020, this large size (22 inches high by 36 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It has "two-tone" green foliage with creamy white medial (center) variegation and the creamy white extends down through the entire length of the petiole with some streaking. The leaves are broadly ovate, slightly cupped, slightly twisted, slightly corrugated and dull on top. Near white flowers bloom from June into July on scapes about 28 inches tall followed by viable seeds in green striped pods.

The registration materials state: "...Creamy white center transitions through shades of light green before resulting in dark green margins with a blue blush...Emerges with yellow centers that gradually turn creamy white by August."
