This cultivar of unidentified parentage was registered by
Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan
in 1998. It forms a giant size plant with rich blue-green foliage
which turns to dark green later in the summer. The leaves are
corrugated, somewhat unruly and have thick substance.
Pale lavender flowers bloom in July. It produces many viable seed pods.
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Grenfell (2009) states: "Leaf noticeably cupped. Underside of the leaf has
a thick, white pruinose coating."
