This heavily mottled, cream
margined hosta was registered by
Paul Aden in
1978. It is a hybrid of Hosta
'Flamboyant' and H. 'High Fat Cream'.
This medium sized (16 inches high) mound has slightly corrugated
foliage and bears pale lavender flowers on short
scapes in July.
According to
The Hostapedia by
Mark Zilis
(2009), "...at one time, 'Jambeliah' had
heavily variegated foliage. Most specimens now, however, are
green-centered with a creamy yellow margin that often streaks
into the leaf center."
Similar cultivars include H. 'Richland
Surprise' and H. 'Wide
Brim'.
