This cultivar is part of the "Presidential Series" of hostas originated by Hajime Sugita of Japan and registered by Peter Ruh of Ohio in 2005. The cultivar is a seedling selection which grows into a large size hosta about 22 inches in height with a spread of 45 inches. Its semi-upright mound has medium gold colored foliage that is slightly wavy, slightly corrugated and has thick substance. Pale lavender flowers bloom from mid-June into July.
