Hosta 'Jane Sample'
 

Registered by Frank Nyikos of Walnut Grove Nursery in Indiana  in 2017, is a medium size (18 inches high by 36 inches wide) sport of H. 'Calamity Jane'. It has medium green leaves that have a pale yellow marginal variegation. The foliage is broadly ovate, slightly folded and slightly shiny on top. Fragrant white flowers with medium purple stripes bloom from mid-July into August on scapes 24 to 36 inches tall. It sets viable seeds.

The registration materials state: "...Stable form of H. 'Calamity Jane'. The margin tends to be uniform in width but can become much wider for new leaves on fall growth...Margins change to creamy ivory as season progresses, and margin width is wider on new fall foliage."
