Hosta 'Jewel Box'

Registered by Randy Goodwin of Indiana in 2017, this miniature size (4 inches high by 8 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It has dark green foliage with a narrow white marginal variegation. The leaves are elliptical, slightly twisted, folded and slightly shiny on top. Pale purple flowers with white margins bloom from mid-July into August on scapes up to 12 inches tall. It sets seeds but their viability was undetermined at the time of registration.

The registration materials state: "...Compact, symmetrical clump with summer flush contrasting in color to the spring flush...Subtle spring colors of medium green and yellow change to dark green edged with white."
