Hosta 'Jipson Place Black Hole'

Registered by Dick Butler and Dr Jamie Street of Indiana in 2017, is an upright growing, giant size (28 inches high by 77 inches wide) sport of H. 'Galaxy'. The dark green leaves are broadly ovate, moderately cupped downward (convex) and dull on top. Near white flowers with faint lavender stripes bloom from June into July on scapes up to 29 inches tall. It sets seeds but their viability was not known at the time of registration.

The registration materials state: "...Extremely dark green that holds all season. Slightly domed and very upright. Good grower that is striking and unique."
