Hosta 'John D. Barnot'

Registered by Steve and Sarah Zolock of Pennsylvania in 2008, this upright growing cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It forms a large size hosta about 18 inches high by 34 inches wide with medium green foliage. The leaves are ovate, slightly rippled and slightly shiny on top with purple on the petioles. Medium lavender flowers with stripes bloom from mid-July into August on scapes up to 32 inches tall.
