Hosta 'John Diamond'

Registered by Steve Zolock of Pennsylvania in 2009, this medium size (14 inches high by 32 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It has dark green foliage that is nearly round, slightly corrugated, slightly twisted, slightly cupped and slightly shiny on top. The petioles are green and very "V" shaped. Medium lavender, bell shape flowers with darker stripes bloom from June into August on scapes up to 28 inches tall.

According to the registration materials: "...thick dark green leaves, flower scapes upright and showy...turns golden yellow as season progresses..."
