Hosta 'Joyce Trott'

This hybrid of H. 'Flamboyant' x H. 'Sum and Substance' was registered by Kevin Vaughn in 1988. The 10 inch high mound of wavy foliage spreads to a width of 23 inches. It bears lavender flowers in July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "..not the easiest cultivar to grow, but is well worth the attention it needs to reach maturity."

Similar cultivars include H. 'Cherry Berry'.

Sports include H. 'Joyful' and H. 'Tom's Dream'.

These 2010 photos come from the Ralph (Herb) and Dorothy Benedict Hosta Hillside, tours and vendors at the 2010 American Hosta Society National Convention in Minnesota, Wade and Gatton Nursery and Wade Botanical Gardens, Toledo Botanical Garden and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
