Hosta 'Junonia'

Registered by Sue Proctor of England in 2022, this miniature size (4 inches high by 8 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Yakushima Mizu' × H. 'El Niño'. The ovate shaped foliage is medium blue-green, moderately wavy and moderately folded. Medium lavender flowers with pale interior stripes bloom in July on scapes 7 or 8 inches tall. It does not set seeds.

The registration materials state: "Tardiana leaf shape (wavy and folded) on a tiny hosta...turns more blue as the season progresses."

This name is the genus of an insect called the common buckeye butterfly.
