Hosta 'Kifukurin Nankai'
 

This cultivar is a sport of the species H. tardiva. The medium size plant is about 16 inches high with a spread of around 32 inches. It has lance shaped, dark green leaves with a yellow marginal variegation. Medium purple, semi-bell-shaped flowers bloom in September.

Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term kifukurin or ki fukurin as yellow edge(d) or yellow margin(ed).
