Hosta 'King Cobra'

This upright growing cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Maya Kingsnake' which was originated by Alttara Scheer of Connecticut and Madelon Gilligan of New Zealand. This fast growing, medium size (16 inches high by 30 inches wide) hosta was registered in 2015 by Gilligan. Its leaves are greenish yellow, broadly ovate, slightly wavy and dull on top with reddish petioles. Pale lavender, tubular flowers bloom from late June into July. It sets seeds but their viability was not known at the time of registration.
