Hosta 'Kissed by the Sun'

Registered by Mary Vertz of Wisconsin in 2021, this large size (24 inches high by 44 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It has yellow foliage which develops some green later in the season but remains basically yellow. The broadly ovate leaves are slightly cupped, slightly rippled and slightly shiny on top. White flowers bloom from June into July on scapes 22 to 30 inches tall. Viability of the seeds was unknown at the time of registration.

The registration materials state: "Emerges bright yellow.  Develops a slight green cast mid-summer while maintaining an overall yellow color that stands out among the other hostas in the garden...develops a slight green cast mid-summer."
