Hosta 'Lady Amy'

Registered by Dr. Doug and Mardy Beilstein of Ohio in 2009, this small size (10 inches high by 18 inches wide) cultivar is a hybrid of H. 'Color Fantasy'. The medium green foliage has creamy white marginal variegation. Its leaves are broadly ovate, folded and slightly shiny on top. Tubular flowers bloom from mid-July into August on scapes up to 44 inches tall.

According to the registration materials: "...tall upright with leaves that slope gradually to the ground, broad leaf with white border, slightly wavy give leaves a floating appearance..."

The originator made the following comment on the Fraternal Order of Seedy Fellows website: "A tall hosta with leaves with creamy white edges that gracefully angle to the ground. The height of the plant gives a floating appearance with the slightly ruffled leaf edges. This plant is named in honor of our daughter. Not in production. "
