One source indicates that this hosta is a large size, 18 to 24 inches in height. The foliage is golden yellow with "green striping fanning through the whole in absorbing patterns". It is probably named after fellow hosta hybridizer, Loleta Powell.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...a Chet Tompkins introduction...have never seen in a collection, garden or nursery catalog."
