Hosta 'Lake Chautauqua'

This cultivar of unidentified parentage was originated by Hajime Sugita in Japan and registered on his behalf by Peter Ruh of Ohio in 1998. It grows into a large size plant about 26 inches high with a spread of around 64 inches. The leaves are narrowly ovate, heavily rippled and medium to dark green in color. Pale purple flowers in clusters bloom in July. There are purplish bracts subtending each flower.
