This cultivar was registered (1998) by
Mary Chastain of
Lakeside Acres Nursery in Tennessee.
It is the result of a cross of H. 'Newberry Gold' × H. 'Sun Glow' that grows into a medium to large size plant. The ovate
leaves are moderately wavy and are slightly corrugated. Its very
pale lavender flowers bloom in July.
Similar cultivars include H. 'Going for Gold'.
