A hybrid of
Hosta hypoleuca
and a blue seedling, this cultivar is part of the large Lakeside Series of hosta cultivars developed by
Mary Chastain.
She registered this cultivar in 1998 as a medium to large mound of
slightly rippled, narrowly ovate foliage which changes from
blue-green to shiny green over the course of the season. The
near-white flowers appear in July to August.
