Hosta 'Lakeside Little Gem'

This cultivar from unknown parentage was registered in 1993 by Mary Chastain of Tennessee of Tennessee. It forms a miniature size (5 inches high by 10 inches wide) mound with wavy, shiny medium green foliage. The purple flowers bloom in July.

The Book of Little Hostas (2010) says: "This pretty small plant provides excellent color contrast with more showy companions in a tray or trough. Early morning sun will maintain a rich, dark green color."
