Hosta 'Lakeside Sapphire Pleats'

This plant of unknown parentage was registered in 1996 by Mary Chastain. The very heavily corrugated, cupped foliage forms a mound 16 inches high and 27 inches wide. It bears near white flowers in late June.

According to The Hosta Handbook by Mark Zilis (2000), "...has the appearance of a rich blue-green 'Tokudama' type."

Similar cultivars include H. 'Blue Fan Dancer' and H. 'Moscow Blue'.
