Hosta 'Lakeside Triple Crown'

This upright growing cultivar of unidentified parentage was registered by Mary Chastain of Lakeside Acres Nursery in Tennessee in 2000. It forms a miniature size (5 inches high by 10 inches wide) hosta with greenish yellow colored foliage that is slightly cupped and dull on top. Pale lavender flowers bloom from mid-June into July on scapes up to 22 inches in height.

Seattle Slew won the Triple Crown of horse racing and Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers was the last person to win the Triple Crown in Major League baseball.
