Registered in 1986 as a sport of H. 'Midwest
Gold' by Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan, this cultivar was named for fellow hosta hybridizer and
nurseryman, Larry Englerth
also of Michigan. The medium size (14 inches high) plant has thick substance and produces near
white flowers from late June into July.

was a sport of 'Golden Nugget', not
'Midwest Gold' as Herb had originally thought. This would make it very similar
to 'Spinning Wheel'..."
