Hosta 'Limpet'

Originated by Viktoria Serafin of Glenbrook Farm in New York, this non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a small size hosta with green foliage. Its leaves are moderately wavy at the edges, slightly corrugated and the clump is a bit unruly.

According to the originator, "Limpet is named for my grandchildren. Thick, leathery leaves that are shiny on both sides. It forms a small, flat mound. Sun brings out a bright golden color; and it's apple-green in the shade. It's been a good grower and I don't know if it's fertile as it hasn't bloomed yet for me."

A limpet is a marine mollusk with a shallow conical shell and a broad muscular foot, found clinging tightly to rocks.
