Hosta 'Man on the Moon'

Originated by Dr. Doug Beilstein of Ohio and Mark Zilis of Illinois but registered in 2009 by Zilis, this slow growing, semi-upright cultivar is a tissue culture sport of H. 'Cuyahoga'. The medium blue-green hosta has creamy yellow streaked variegation. Its leaves are broadly ovate, slightly wavy, slightly corrugated and have a glaucous bloom on top. Tubular flowers bloom from mid-July into August on scapes up to 28 inches tall.

According to the registration materials: "...color changes to dark green with creamy white streaks..."
