This cultivar is part of the "Presidential Series" of hostas originated by Hajime Sugita of Japan and registered by Peter Ruh of Ohio in 2005. The cultivar is a hybrid of H. kiyosumiensis x H. pycnophylla which grows to 17 inches in height with a spread of 44 inches. Its medium green foliage is slightly wavy, has slight corrugation and good substance. Pale lavender flowers on pendulous scapes bloom in September.
