This cultivar was listed on the MyHostas Database website. Originated by Rick Goodenough of Massachusetts, this non-registered, blue-green cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Gay Paree' × H. 'Blue Cascade'.

Named for  Mary Chastain of Lakeside Acres Nursery in Tennessee who is the originator of the huge "Lakeside" series of hostas.
