A 1991 registration by William Vaughn of Illinois, this cultivar is the result of a cross of a H. 'Sieboldiana' seedling x H. 'Golden Waffles'. This large size plant grows to 23 inches high by 57 inches wide with rippled, foliage with a twisted tip. It flowers in July and is part of the "Maui Series" of hostas.
