'Mellow Yellow'

Originated by Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan, this non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage but with H. 'Sieboldiana' in its background. It is a large size hosta about 21 inches high with a spread of around 37 inches. The bright gold colored foliage is heavily corrugated, broadly ovate, unruly and has thick substance.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Unfortunately, it does develop some spring desiccation burn."
