This hybrid of a white backed
Hosta kikutii
and a white backed
Hosta longipes
was developed by
Hajime Sugita of
Japan and registered by
Peter Ruh in
1997. It forms a medium sized (17 inches high) mound of deeply veined foliage of
above average substance. The plant has lavender flowers in late
August to September.

(2009), "I've always loved the graceful appearance of this
plant...The deeply veined, smooth, green leaves make an
attractive mound..."
Similar cultivars include
